A band of heavy rain continues to sink southward into the region. We will have to keep a close eye on this later this evening into tonight. The rest of the forecast remains unchanged with a major winter storm moving in late Wednesday and Thursday.
Local and federal emergency management officials are going door to door in four different Kentucky counties.
Officials are in Pike, Floyd, Breathitt and Owsley counties to urge people and businesses to register for assistance.

You must apply to receive any assistance from the federal government.
