A police chase ended in Lexington Friday, after Kentucky State Police chased a car that Lexington police say was pulling stolen equipment.

Lexington police tell us the chase began in Winchester and ended in Lexington on North Cleveland Road. That's where officers managed to stop the car where they later made an arrest.

The chase began with a state policeman driving an unmarked car. The suspect would not stop in Winchester, hopped on U.S. 60, and was heading toward Lexington.

State police then contacted Lexington Police for assistance. The chase came to a peaceful end about 12:00 p.m. The suspect was then taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.
