Road Changes May Cause Traffic Problems Near UK Campus

Drivers around the University of Kentucky may have to change their route. Parts of Rose Street will be shut down this evening.

Early today, city engineers met with university officials to inspect the road, before closing it.

In order to avoid rushour, city officials will close the road at 10 pm tonight, making it an access road for the Medical Center complex only.

The changes effect travel between South Limestone and Washington Avenue.

Huguelet Drive now connects South Limestone and Rose Streets.

Plan on delays and confusion when the change happens.
