Boy burned by gunpowder to be released from hospital

A Nicholas County boy who burned most of his body and face when he lit gunpowder with a match is being released from the hospital.

13-year-old Zack Riley and his brother were playing near a home on Convict Rd. in Nicholas County on Monday, when they went into an abandoned home, found the matches and gun powder and lit it.

His father says he probably didn't realize what it was and they know not to play with matches.

Zach's body and face were burned, he was rushed to UK hospital.
