Truck Driver Killed In Fatal Crash On Interstate 75

The driver of a utility truck dies Tuesday after a horrible car crash on Interstate 75.

Police tell 27 NEWSFIRST the driver of a utility truck was killed when his truck slammed into a semi at exit 49 in Laurel county.

We're told it happened at the exit for State Road 909, in northern Laurel County. State police say the southbound traffic was slowing down for construction up ahead when the driver of the utility-type truck slammed into the tractor trailer.

A Kentucky State Police Officer says," the traffic was backed up and he wasn't aware that it had backed up to that point and came up on a tractor trailer that had stopped with its emergency flashers on and rear ended it."

Police say they've worked several accidents in recent months in Laurel County near construction zones.
