Lexington Teenager Convicted Of Murder, Jury Recommends 40 Years

A Lexington jury recommended a 40-year prison sentence for a teenager convicted of murder.

Tuesday a jury found 17 year old Darius Frye guilty of wanton murder.

They believe he shot Billy Parker in cold blood when he was only 15 years old.

Police say Frye killed Parker over a $20 drug deal gone bad.

The jury only deliberated about an hour before returning the guilty verdict.
