Historic hotel goes up in flames

A fire at a popular downtown Louisville hotel forced nearly 100 hundred to evacuate overnight.

It happened around 11:30 Sunday night at the Seelbach Hotel.

A small fire broke out in the electrical panel box in the basement. Sprinklers were activated and so were the smoke alarms.

It took about 60 firefighters to put out the flames.

None of the 80 guests staying at the hotel, or any of the staff, was hurt in the fire.
