LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Department of Agriculture has asked the Louisville Zoo to move an overturned minitrain into storage within two weeks.
Agriculture Department spokesman Ted Sloan says investigators are still taking statements from witnesses to the June 1 train derailment at the zoo.
Sloan says a final report will be issued once the investigation is complete. He added that the investigation is expected to take at least a few more weeks. The ride remains under a stop-operation order issued by the department following the accident.
Three open-air train cars overturned and the engine fell off the tracks, resulting in 22 people being taken to area hospitals.
