Richmond Fire Investigators Believe State Farm Fire Was Arson

Video will be available shortly

Richmond firefighters tell 27 NEWSFIRST the building caught fire Wednesday morning, leaving it heavily damaged. So far fire investigators are calling the cause of fire suspicious, stopping just short of ruling it arson.

But insurance agent Joe Massengale, whose office was in the building, believes there's enough evidence to convince him the fire was intentionally set. We're told a window was found pried open and investigators also found starter logs inside the office.

Joe was able to find a temporary office in place of the one that was lost in the fire and hopes to be back serving his clients early next week.
Massengale says any client who may need to reach him can call his regular number and be routed to a central office for State Farm.
