Budget shortfall could impact programs at UK

We could soon see how the state's budget crisis plays into The University of Kentucky's proposed budget for next school year.

The first draft of the budget is expected at Tuesday afternoon's Board of Trustees meeting.

With the state in a billion dollar deficit, and the university relying more on student tuition, university officials have said some academic programs may have to be stalled.

The budget will also determine if jobs will be cut.
