Governor Ernie Fletcher has filed for re-election.

The governor filed papers just before 4:30 Monday afternoon.

He filed his paperwork to seek a second term of office with the secretary of state's office.

During his first term, the Governor has been the target of critics for a hiring scandal that resulted in indictments.

Also, we've found out that Congressman Ben Chandler has decided not to run for Governor.
