Man in critical condition after lightning strike

A Shelbyville man is in critical condition on life support Wednesday after being struck by lightning during storms.
Shelby County EMS says it received a 911 call around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and found the man at Shelby Industries.
Brian Larsh had stepped out on his lunch break and was waiting outside, under a tree, for his daughter to pick him up at the time of the strike. Fellow employees rushed to his aid after he fell to the ground and administered CPR.
Larsh was rushed to Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville and later transferred to Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He's been in intensive care on a respirator.
The county coronor confirmed that lightning struck the cell phone in his pocket, causing the injuries. Larsh is in critical condition and his injuries are considered life-threatening.
