Police say a woman was defending herself when she stabbed a man early Thursday.
Lexington Police say Derrick Keeling was choking a woman on Chestnut Street when she stabbed him in the leg with a pair of garden shears.
Keeling went to the hospital, then to jail for assault.
The woman wasn't charged.
Police say it is a case of domestic violence.
