A Kentucky prosecutor was laid to rest on Friday, days after he was killed by a suspected drunk driver.

The Pendleton County courthouse, where Commonwealth's Attorney Doug Wright served, was closed in his honor as well.

Police in Pendleton County arrested Reverend Daniel Gabbard for wanton murder. Police say he was under the influence of alcohol when his semi hit Wright's car.

Wright was the prosecutor in Pendleton, Robertson, Nicholas and Harrison counties.

His funeral started at two at Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Falmouth.
