GEORGETOWN, KY -- Three people were sent to the hospital following a wreck Saturday afternoon, reports The Georgetown News-Graphic in its Sunday edition.
Georgetown Police Department Sgt. Todd Stone said a motorcycle was making a left turn at Lemons Mill Road and U.S. 460 when a passenger car carrying three people hit the motorcycle.
"We are still early in the investigation," Stone said. Witnesses on scene said the motorcycle had a green light when it was hit by a car.
The driver of the motorcycle was sent to the University of Kentucky Hospital but the extent of his injuries was not known. Witnesses said he was talking and trying to get up after the wreck but they were telling him to stay on the ground.
The driver of the vehicle suffered a head laceration and another passenger had a chest injury. Georgetown Fire Department had to extricate the driver from the vehicle.
Names of those involved in the wreck were not being released on scene. An investigation is ongoing, reports The Georgetown News-Graphic.
