Heavy winds had blown off a large portion of the church's roof and a 800 pound steeple, exposing the inside of the church.

"I was numb," Pastor Jerry Browning said. "I've had all day to pray about it, and we are going to come through this. Everything happens for a reason, and something good will come out of this," Browning said.

A sixty foot section of the roof was completely torn off the building, that was built in the 1800's. Thankfully no one was injured in the incident. Browning said a crew will come out Saturday to make sure the church is enclose and will stay dry. He says they hope to have church services on Sunday.
