43 year old George Green was found shot to death in his Liberty home in March of 2005. Four years later police make an arrest in the case.
Even though four years have passed since 43 year old George Green was found shot to death in his Liberty home Detective George Atwood with Kentucky State Police never gave up on the investigation.
Police say 40 year old Verginia Lee, the wife of a Liberty United Methodist Church pastor, is charged with murdering Green.
Her father, 61 year old Ronald Evans, is charged with manslaughter. Both are also charged with burglary.
Police have been investigating the crime since March of 2005, saying Evans and his daughter, Lee, got into an argument with George Green who is related through marriage.
Police say the argument escalated to the point of murder. Police presented the case to the grand jury, but it didn't find enough evidence to indict the father and daughter back in 2005.
Detective Atwood says over the past year they've gathered new evidence and just recently the grand jury indicted the pair in connection with Green's death.
