Heavy snow is taking its time moving through the state of Kentucky. This will be a historic once its all said and done with a few spots around a foot of snow.
STURGIS, Ky. (AP) - The weekend death of an 8-year-old boy in a
church elevator shaft is under investigation by Kentucky State
Police say the boy was found lodged in an elevator at First
Christian Church in Sturgis about 8 p.m. CDT Saturday. They say no
foul play is suspected but an investigation is continuing.
Union County Coroner Stephen Shouse identified the boy as
Zachary Waddell and said Monday that Zachary died as a result of
compression asphyxia, meaning he couldn't breathe after the
elevator came down on him. The Evansville, (Ind.) Courier & Press
reported that Shouse is a distant cousin of the boy's mother.
The Rev. Nate Harper told the newspaper that the accident
happened as a wedding reception for the boy's grandmother was
