Church Catches Fire For Third Time; This Time Destroyed

A Southern Kentucky church is once again dealing with fire. For the third time, in four months The First Church of Jesus Christ in McCreary County caught fire.

This time, the church burned to the ground on Sunday. Investigators say an arsonist is to blame.

Back in October, the church also caught fire. Fire investigators ruled that cause electrical. The fire gutted the inside of the church.

In September, a small fire caused minimal damage to the church.

Church pastor Pat Coffey says they're offering a $500 reward to anyone that has information that leads to an arrest in the case.
