Late Tuesday night, the National Weather Service issued a warning for Lewis County, Kentucky, after witnesses say a tornado touched down in the Tollesboro area.
The storm damaged homes and buildings. It was so strong that some mobile homes were knocked from their foundations.
One man and his son just moved to the area, and he says it was a pretty frightening experience.
"At first there was just a lot of lightning and thunder, and we started hearing whistling, and it just got louder and louder, and all hell started breaking loose," said Billy Burchfield.
The National Weather Service is expected to take readings Wednesday to confirm whether or not a tornado touched down.

One thing is for certain, Kentucky has had plenty of rain this year and I guess that's MUCH better than having those miserable droughts we've had the past few years. Thank God for the rain but at the same time, I pray for those who have been flooded etc.
