Crews Restore Water For Patchen Drive Businesses And Homes

By: Cori Lake Email

The water is back on and a broken water main fixed Wednesday afternoon.

It all began when a water main broke due to the extreme cold weather Lexington has experienced lately. Officials say it happened late Tuesday night, and flooded Patchen Drive. It took crews from Kentucky-American Water more that 12 hours of work to fix the broken water main.

Officials say they have restored water to the Patchen Drive businesses and to those living in the area. Patchen Drive is still closed this midday and is planned to be reopened by 2:00 p.m.

Officials say they may have one lane opened before that time, but in the mean time, to get on to Patchen Drive you can take Mount Tabor Road.
