Police search for suspects in home invasion

A family is startled from their sleep, awakening from a loud crashing sound, after two men break into their home.

Georgetown Police were called to a home invasion on the 100 block of Elizabeth Street, off of U.S. 460, around 5:15 Thursday morning.

Police say two men, wearing colored hoodies and masks, broke into a home and ransacked it, stealing prescription pills, jewelry and cash.

One person, Chris Lane, was treated for a cut to the arm and hits to the head. His girlfriend, Megan Kouns, and their two young children were unharmed.

The two men are described as black males. One is about 6'1" with a large build.

Police do believe this case may be connected to an unsolved home invasion in Georgetown off of Dover Lane that happened several months ago.
