The snow came in rather quickly this morning ... making much of the bluegrass look like a winter wonderland.

Snow depths ranged from a dusting to a half an inch in some areas. Lexington and Louisville both registered 0.3 inches of snow. Campbellsville reported .2 inches. Other locations in southeastern Kentucky like Beatyville, West Liberty, and in London all registered 1/4 to 1/2 inch mostly on grassy surfaces, but then quickly melted.

It doesn't sound like much but it was enough snow to create an issue for the morning commute. In fact two separate accidents between Georgetown and Leestown road on new circle road are blamed on the slick roadways. no one was injured but one car was totaled.
