Friday is the day for fans of Apple's iPhone.

The third-generation iPhone 3-G S went on sale Friday morning.

Devotees started lining up Thursday night in Lexington to be one of the first people to get their hands on the new device.

About six people camped outside the AT&T store on Nicholasville Road.

The 16-gigabyte version of the 3-G S sells for $199.

The 32-gigabyte version sells for $299.

AT&T remains the phone's exclusive U.S. wireless service provider.
