Children Removed From Home; Filthy Living Conditions

Video will be available shortly

A couple faces abuse charges after police say they forced their young children to live in filth. There's also allegations they locked their kids in a closet while they went out.

Police responded to an anonymous complaint and visited a home on Highland Avenue in Lancaster.

Officers found both dog and human feces, dirty diapers and even used condoms inside the home. They also found three young children, ages four, two and seven months.

They arrested Phillip and Amber Zabala. The Zabalas face three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.

The couple pleaded not guilty to the charges. Both will be back in court on January 4th.

The children were removed from the home.
