Our focus now turns to the potential of record lows tonight. Many areas may wake up to thermometer readings below zero.
There will soon be some activity at the site of the CentrePointe project in downtown Lexington, but that doesn't mean the building will be making any progress. The lot will just be getting a little more green.
Developer Dudley Webb announced Friday that he and his partners will make some improvements to the now-vacant lot.
The land will be re-contoured, top soil added and grass planted at the site. Webb says this is an effort to make the site "more presentable" until construction begins.
Webb says the start of construction has been delayed while waiting on money from investors.
Developers hope that the grass will be fully grown in by the fall and say if construction has not stared by the 2010 World Equestrian Games, more improvements will be made to the site.
