Attorneys for both the University of Kentucky and former basketball coach Billy Gillispie, are saying they need more time for sorting out the facts surrounding a lawsuit.
Gillispie sued the UK Athletics Association last month, alleging breach of contract and fraud, after being fired in March.
He claims the university owes him at least six million dollars.
But UK officials have argued the coach never signed a formal contract and was operating under a year-by-year "memorandum of understanding."
The university's lawyers had been scheduled to respond to Gillispie's lawsuit in a court in Texas by Monday, but the Lexington Herald Leader reports lawyers on both sides have agreed to push the hearing back to June 26th.
