Posted: Fri 12:30 PM, Dec 08, 2006

There was a scare this morning for workers at Chase Bank in downtown Lexington.
Someone found a mysterious powder inside a plastic box holding mail, forcing haz mat. crews to evacuate the sixth floor of the building.
Police and firemen responded to the call as well, causing a downtown traffic snarl.
The mysterious substance turned out to be crumbs from what's believed to be an oatmeal cookie.
Chase Bank employees were back at their desks in about a half hour.
