Police say infant exposed to meth

MAYFIELD, Ky. (AP) - State police say a 1-year-old child was
exposed to methamphetamine in southwestern Kentucky.

After a custody hearing in Graves County on Friday state police
arrested three people and charged them with first-degree wanton
endangerment.

The infant has been placed in foster care and authorities
performed a hair test on the child. State police said in a
statement that the test indicated that the infant had been exposed
to or had ingested a high level of methamphetamine.

The three people, 23-year-old Amber Hiel and 45-year-old Toy
Frasier, both of Mayfield and Paducah resident 25-year-old Roger
Hage were arrested after a custody hearing in Graves County
District Court. Police did not detail their relationship with the
infant.

Police started the investigation after receiving a complaint
through a child abuse hot line.
