Authorities search for escaped inmate

Lexington Police want to find a Fayette County Jail inmate who never returned from a court-ordered pass.

Quaynell Duron King was in jail for trafficking a controlled subtance, tampering with physical evidence and being a persistent felon.

He was scheduled to return to jail at 5:00 p.m. Monday.

He is now wanted for second-degree escape, as well.

King is also connected to a Lexington murder.

He and Dominico Morbley were convicted in the death of 19-year-old Dontay Kendrick.

The teenager was shot outside a nightclub at 3rd and Race Streets in Lexington in April of 2004.

King was found guilty of wanton endangerment.
