I-64 back open after Carter County crash

OLIVE HILL, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Department of Highways says the westbound lanes of Interstate 64 have reopened after a crash involving multiple vehicles.

Kentucky State Police said the westbound lanes were shut down Tuesday in Carter County due to a multi-vehicle accident.

State police dispatcher Keith Sansom says there were injuries in the crash near Olive Hill in northeastern Kentucky. State highway officials say the crash occurred just west of U.S. 60/Exit 161.

It was the second crash during the morning that disrupted traffic along I-64 in Carter County. Sansom says an earlier injury crash closed eastbound lanes for a short time.
