City leaders tout safety at local pools

As summer heats up, more people hit the pool.

Lexington leaders want to make sure you know all city pools are safe.

The city spent a year-and-a-half and close to $100,000 to put new covers and drains in all city pools. A new federal law requires drains be entrapment proof.

Lexington leaders say the city is the only large city in the state to have pools in compliance before the start of the season.
