Right around 10 O'clock Tuesday Night a serious accident occurred on Lexington's west side.
That's where police say a driver of a mini-van hit a car on Southview Drive, then drove down the street and slammed into a tree on Stone Road.
The driver jumped out of the car and took off on foot.
The passenger was severely injured and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
