A line of strong to severe storms will race across central and eastern Kentucky over the next several hours.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A former Kentucky high school basketball
star will be arraigned on Thursday after allegedly being found with
a gun last month.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports that Jonathan "Bud" Mackey was arrested May 14 after Lexington police responded to a call of shots fired. Police found Mackey with a stolen handgun.
The 19-year-old former Indiana University recruit was charged with being a felon in possession of a handgun. He previously pleaded guilty to first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
Andrew Bowker of the Lexington Department of Public Advocacy will represent Mackey at the Fayette County Circuit Court arraignment. Bowker didn't immediately return phone calls on Wednesday.
