Train Hits Vehicle; Kills Child

Three people are recovering today after being hit by a train in Laurel County.

The accident happened near U.S. 25 in front of the entrance to the Levi Jackson State Park in London.

A seven-year-old boy was thrown from the van and pronounced dead on the scene.

The van was driven by 44-year-old Mary Smith of London. We're told everyone in the van was related.

Police aren't released the name of the juveniles who were hurt Or the name of the boy who was killed.

The train did not derail.
