Authorities in Danville and Casey County are looking for two to three men they believe stole thousands of dollars from elderly women in the past month.
On May 21st, an elderly woman and her daughter fell victim to two men who said they were giving away rugs. One of the men reportedly distracted the women while the other stole money and belongings from their bedrooms. In all, the men got away with $4,000 worth of cash and belongings.
Just last Monday in Danville, an elderly woman experienced a similar crime at her home. However, she reported that a third man somehow snuck in while two men distracted her. She lost about $1,000 cash and a handgun.
The men are described as Caucasian and in their 30s. They were last seen driving a black Ford Crown Victoria. If you have any information on these crimes or the whereabouts of the suspects, you're asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (877) 970-2020.
