Woman charged after dozens of dogs found living in filth

Members of RAIN, Rockcastle Animals In Need, began removing dogs from a home on Hill Street in Mt. Vernon Tuesday morning after complaints of neglect.

An anonymous tip Monday night lead investigators to the home, where animal rescue officials say four dogs were found living in unbearable conditions.

The Rockcastle County Attorney got a warrant for Linda Alcorn's arrest Tuesday morning. Authorities served the warrant and found dozens more dogs living in the woman's home.

They began removing the dogs around noon Tuesday. The County
Attorney says more charges will be filed against Alcorn.

Members of URKY, United Rescues of Kentucky, will foster the 38 dogs rescued. Volunteers are hoping to raise $8,000 to $10,000 in donations for vet bills and rehabilitation efforts. Those can be made by going to www.URKY.org or calling (859) 625-4859.
