Neighbors say they hadn't seen her for days and when family members went to check on her, they made a disturbing discovery.

Now, a death investigation is underway at the house on Homestead Lane in Monticello. That's in Wayne County.

The woman has been identified at 53-year-old Eula Branham. She lived alone in the one bedroom apartment.

The coroner says Branham didn't have any visible injuries on her body, and had been dead for several days.

The coroner says they don't know at this time if Branham's death was from natural causes or is foul play is to blame. An autopsy is scheduled in Frankfort.
