Lexington Police Target Red Light Runners

If you had to drive around Lexington, you've probably noticed, traffic is very heavy around town.

Police say Nicholasville Road is by far the worst traffic area in the city and they want make sure it stays safe.

Running red lights is what police say is the number one cause of crashes on Nicholasville. That's why Lexington Police have officers specially assigned to watching for red light runners this holiday season.

Officers plan to be out again Friday night, as the official start to the holiday travel season begins.
