Fire Destroys Two Apartment Buildings in Lexington

Just three days before Christmas, several people are without homes after an early Friday morning fire.

The fire broke out just after 4 a.m. at Kirklevington Hills Apartments on Kirklevington Drive, just off Tates Creek Road.

Firefighters say it appears everyone got out of the apartments.

One man was injured when he jumped from his balcony to escape the flames. He was knocked unconcious. He's in the hospital recovering from his injuries.

There's no word on what may have caused the fire.
