Police Arrest Two Suspects In Purse Snatching Case

Richmond police arrested Franklin Young and Sheila Sexton in connection to a purse robbery.

Both suspects have been charged with robbery in the 2nd degree. Richmond police say 70 year old Jewell Isaacs was pushed to the ground by Young, then he grabbed her purse about 11:00 o'clock Saturday morning.

Police tell us the woman was in or near J.C. Penny at the Richmond Mall.

A witness told police Young fled the scene in a 1989 Oldsmobile with a KY registered license plate, 791CLW.

Isaacs suffered minor injuries, but refused to be treated or taken to the hospital. Isaacs hopes her story will be an example to other women to be very careful and to be observant of their surroundings.

Suspect arrested in Lexington teen's murder
