Police brought a search warrant to this home on Hampton Road Monday night. They say they had evidence of 65 year old Billy M. Johnson sexual abusing a 14 year old girl.

“The complaint was that her daughter..had been sexually assaulted,” said London Police Lt. Stewart Walker.

Police says Johnson ignored commands to come out. Lt. Walker says extra officers were there...because he says they knew Johnson had a gun. After about an hour of what they said were repeated attempts to get Johnson to come out...they say he fired one shot in the direction of 3 officers.

“In my opinion, less than 15 feet in the direction of the officers,” said Walker.

But Johnson's granddaughter, who didn't want to be identified, says Johnson didn't know the men outside were police.

“He called, left a message on my phone, said a bunch of boys were around his house, with guns, trying to kill him. Get in his house and kill him,” she said.

In addition to wanton endangerment, police say they're also charging Johnson with committing sexual acts with the now 14-year-old over a 4 to 5 year period. But his granddaughter says those allegations came from an argument that started when the alleged victim called her boyfriend from Johnson's home.

“He (victim’s boyfriend) called back...Pawpaw called him and cussed him. After that she got mad,” she said.

No one was hurt in the standoff and police say a conversation with Johnson and his grandson lead to him surrendering peacefully..

South east Kentucky needs to read Dr Alfred Kinsey I believe that youth is useing police and the polularity of sex offenders shows to take control, you may not believe this but teenagers have very strong sexual desires and many act on them and it dont make any differance and then they go to police and it could turn in to the sex police telling everyone how to have sex, it will finally end wife pressing charges against husbands for normal sex acts if they have a fight , well the wife says he raped me and the husband is carted off to jail, by the sex police. human sexuality is very complex, Doctors cant understand it how and what makes the human being sexual, I believe that youths can rape older people, take advantage this type of case needs to be looked at closer , this could have been a killing because some over sexual young girl four years is a long time to be sexual abused and keep it silent we need more understanding of human sexuality at all ages, and adjust our legal systum.

Just curios doesn’t they have to a UNIFORM officer to place him under arrest? If that is the case, he should have known they were the police.
