Kentucky Soldier Shot By Sniper

A Kentucky soldier, who's from Frankfort, is in critical condition after being wounded in Iraq.

The Frankfort State Journal reports Private First Class Nicholas Johnson was wounded by a sniper on December 20th.

He's a 2004 graduate of Franklin County High School.

Johnson serves with the 1st Cavalry Division from Ft. Hood, Texas.

According to the State Journal, Johnson was shot in the back of the head while on patrol in an armored vehicle.
