UK Storage Facility Catches Fire

Firefighters battled a fire near the University of Kentucky campus.

Crews were called to a fire at a UK storage building on Scott Street around 4:30 Thursday afternoon.
That's between South Broadway and South Limestone.

A police officer went to the building to check out a burglar alarm.
The officer didn't find a burglar, but he did see smoke.

Ten fire units responded to the call.
At one point, there were flames and heavy smoke visible.

Police had to shutdown Scott Street to traffic.
