Charges Upgraded to Murder in Lexington Shooting
The murder charge comes after 18-year old Darrin Bates died Thursday afternoon. Bates was shot in the head Wednesday night.
Now 19 -year old is charged in the murder.
Charges against Donovan Brown were upgraded to murder after 18-year old Darrin Bates died at UK Medical Center.
Bates brother tells us he doesn't know what to do without his only brother and doesn't believe Brown intentionally shot him.
Brown's brother said, "I was asking, was it an accident, couldn't respond couldn't answer."
All he wanted was that one answer.
Now 17-year old Dejuan Bates would not get the answer before his brother Darrin died.
Police outline in court papers how Brown intentionally cocked the gun and pulled the trigger.
