The new arena at the Kentucky Horse Park is now finished.
There are 5,500 chair back seats in the new arena that can be expanded to accommodate up to 18,000 with floor seating for concerts.
There are also several spacious suites, complete with wet bars. The arena floor has special footing for horses.
There's also a huge exhibit hall in the building and a warm-up barn adjacent to the arena.
The arena cost between $45-46 million dollars to build. It will be a key venue for the 2010 World Equestrian Games.
Officials at the Horse Park say the arena was actually on the master plan prior to Lexington winning the bid for the games. Events are booked there all the way to 2014.
The public is invited to the July 15 grand opening, which begins at 10 a.m.
