Police Vow To Catch People Not Buckling Up
January first starts the enforcement of the state's primary seat belt law. Police can now start pulling you over for not wearing your seat belt and fine you $25. Before today police were only able to cite you for not wearing your seat belt if they pulled you over for another reason. Now it's the only reason they need.
