Laurel County couple fights over drugs

A fight involving kitchen appliances and lawn mower equipment leads police to arrest a Southern Kentucky couple.

Officials say it happened on Elisha Feltner Road in the Black Water area of Laurel County.

That's where they found Tammy Shaw Verano and her boyfriend David Mills, who had been fighting over money and drugs.

Police determined that Shaw had struck Mills with a wok and then he struck her back with a lawn mower battery.

Authorities later found materials used to make meth.

Both Shaw and Mills were charged with making meth and are being held in the Laurel County Detention Center.
