Today, Kentucky lawmakers will kick off 2007 with the first day of the Kentucky General Assembly.
Lawmakers will spend the first four days of the 30 day session choosing their leaders.
More than 170 bills have been pre-filed. The issue of casino gambling will be taken up. The child booster seat bill will be also brought up again.
And lawmakers will also try to decide if Kentucky's $5.15 an hour minimum wage needs adjusting.
A vehicular homicide bill and proposed protection for social workers will also be discussed.
