LOUISVILLE, KY. (AP) - Gov. Steve Beshear is scheduled to appear in Louisville Wednesday for a ceremonial signing of legislation aimed at building new bridges over the Ohio River between Indiana and Kentucky.
Beshear is scheduled to hold the ceremonial signing with Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels at an afternoon news conference.
Kentucky lawmakers approved the legislation earlier this summer during a special session. It sets up an agency to oversee the bridges' construction with Indiana.
Beshear has already signed the measure into law but has been staging ceremonial signings throughout the state.
